Scuderia Toro Rosso Drivers

Cheer on our drivers!

What does it take to become a Toro Rosso driver?

You must prove you are very talented!

Every year our team takes part in the Formula 1 World Championship with the clear aim of being in the heart of the mid-field action, with the ultimate objective of challenging for wins. An integral part of that mission has always been to provide a launch pad for talented youngsters making their way in this sport.

Many drivers come to Faenza having passed through the Red Bull Junior Programme, the academy that aims to take the best youngsters all the way through the lower categories to F1.

But in 2019, our line-up has a somewhat different feel to it: it features the experienced Daniil Kvyat and the rookie Alexander Albon, who a while ago, also spent some time with the Red Bull school.

All drivers in the Red Bull family have to work hard right from the start of their careers, but it only the few most talented ones that make it all the way to the blue riband motorsport category. The athletes that are part of the Red Bull Junior Team, gain experience, moving up the motorsport ladder, racing in various series around the world.

They are also trained to deal with the physical demands of this sport, via the Red Bull Diagnostic & Training Center in Thalgau, near Salzburg. Passion, determination, concentration and the right attitude are the qualities that our athletes must possess.

The Team of Toro Rosso 2019 drivers is composed by the Russian Daniil Kvyat and the Anglo-Thai Alexander Albon.
