The final free practice session at Spa-Francorchamps was held in dry and consistent conditions and went smoothly for Scuderia Toro Rosso.
Jean-Eric continued to show the good form he demonstrated yesterday, experimenting with downforce levels on his way to posting the fourth fastest time this morning, while Daniel was eleventh. After studying all the data last night, changes were made on the Australian’s car, which meant he was generally happier than yesterday, but still not entirely satisfied with the balance of the car. However, it’s going in the right direction and there’s still time to make a few more tweaks before this afternoon’s qualifying session. Both our drivers completed 15 laps each, running the Hard tyre first before the usual end of session qualifying simulation on the Mediums. Sebastian Vettel was fastest for Red Bull, lapping about four tenths of a second faster than Vergne. Second was Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari, ahead of Mark Webber in the other Red Bull.
