Let’s start at the end: the Scuderia Toro Rosso day at the Engineering Faculty of the Milan Polytechnic ended with a barrage of questions for our engineers, from the students and with a lightning visit to the workshop of their Formula Student team. What does every motorsport fan dream of? Turning their passion into a career. We have always encouraged talented youngsters to give it a shot, supporting a variety of recruitment and training programmes, including those at Muner, the motorsport university.
To see a pit stop with one of our cars in pit lane, while Daniil Kvyat is in the garage talking to his engineer is perfectly normal, at least it is when we’re at the race track. But transfer all this to the grounds of a university? Well, that is exactly what we did along with our Official HR Partner, Randstad Italia, who a few days ago organised a fantastic event at the Engineering Faculty of Bologna University.
Have you always dreamed of working in Formula 1? This is your chance. Thanks to the partnership between Scuderia Toro Rosso and Randstad Italia, you can now make that dream come true.
Scuderia Toro Rosso has always invested in innovative technology and in career progression. That’s why we are always looking for talented people: we do it on track with the Red Bull Junior Team drivers and we do it in our technology centres in Faenza, Italy and Bicester, UK through our Formula Future Programme which selects and trains young professionals. It is an innovative and successful programme, which has been going since 2015. This year it benefits further from a new partnership with Randstad Italia. Once again, the aim is to create a perfect mix of young talent and expert technicians who, through determination and ability contribute to the progress made by our team.
The Formula Future programme runs over a year. The first phase takes place in our technology centre in Faenza, with lessons and workshops run by highly qualified Toro Rosso staff. The second phase involves joining a project team that works directly on the F1 car, thus providing a unique level of training in the world of Formula 1. Since 2015, over 200 people have so far been through this course, working with Scuderia Toro Rosso within Formula 1.
How do you join the Formula Future Programme? It is open to graduates or high school and university students who demonstrate determination and enthusiasm and are keen to tackle the challenges thrown up by the world of Formula 1.
